This 1965 Jaguar XKE roadster was sold new by Kingsfield Motors of Englewood, New Jersey in April 1965, and it reportedly remained in the original owner’s family until the mid-2000s. A subsequent owner commissioned a refurbishment, which was completed in 2010 and included a color change from the original Opalescent Maroon to black. The car retains a black interior and black softtop, and a factory hardtop is included as well. Power is by a numbers-matching 4.2-liter inline-six backed by a 4-speed manual transmission. This Series 1 XKE is now offered with the factory hardtop, original paperwork, a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, and a clean. Covered headlights and triple wipers are features of the Series 1 E-Type, and this car was optioned with an exterior racing mirror.
