This is a beautiful example of a very clean FJ 40 that the current owners have taken very good care of over the past 18 years. They have also heavily invested in her with over $15,000 in receipts. It has the 4.2L 2F six cylinder mated to a 4-speed manual transmission which includes a new clutch and u-joints within the past 2,000 miles. Over the years of ownership, they have also replaced the front and rear carpet, door and roof molding, had the transfer case and transmission rebuild, installed a new fuel tank, painless wiring kit, Birfield joints, fuel pump, front/rear signal indicators and radiator. They have also invested heavily in modifications including 4-wheel disc brakes. This FJ sits on an Old Man Emu 3” deluxe lift kit with Dakkar springs, has a heavy-duty ARB bumper with a Warn winch and round eyes headlights. There’s a new $600 Weber 38 carb as well as a DUI ignition distributor coupled to a Man-a Fre header. You’ll also have a new BesTop soft top for when you remove the hard top and a full front to back Metal Tech roll cage. They also installed a lock box center console and Crow 4-point seatbelts. The back jump seats are included along with 3 bins of new and removed parts and the soft top.
The flat surfaces (hood, fenders) have some fading in the paint but as you can see the horizontal surfaces still shine. This is one you can comfortably jump in and take on an extended trip without the worries of potential issues. You’ll be pressed to find a cleaner FJ, this well cared for a certainly at this price.
