THIS... is a 2008 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, finished in
Performance White with a black interior.
This GT500 features a 6-speed manual transmission, and its odometer
currently displays about 1081 miles.
The attached Carfax history report lists no accidents in this
GT500's past.
According to the window sticker provided in the gallery, factory
equipment includes an SVT-tuned suspension system, Brembo front
brakes, over-the-top racing stripes, leather upholstery, ambient
lighting, and a Shaker 1000 sound system. The seller reports no
modifications.
Called S197 internally, the fifth-generation Mustang launched for
2005 with a heritage-laced design, a new platform, and an available
24-valve V8 engine. Extending the wheelbase gave the Mustang a much
more compliant ride than its predecessor, though it remained true
to the pony car ethos that characterized the original model.
Production ended in 2014.
Ford rekindled ties with Shelby to transform what was envisioned as
a replacement for the Mustang Cobra into a 21st-century GT500.
Massive power, huge brakes, and heritage-laced styling cues were
part of the package. 6,153 units of the GT500 coupe were built for
2008, according to Ford.
Power comes from a 5.4-liter supercharged V8, rated at 500
horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque. It spins the rear wheels via a
6-speed manual transmission.
