Vehicle Description
When it comes to modern muscle cars, few, if any, can match the
all-around power, comfort, and sheer excitement of a
fourth-generation F-Body. This 2002 Chevrolet Camaro SS 35th
Anniversary not only represents a commemorative year but also the
final year of the fourth generation of Chevy's pony car. One of
just 1,971 Z4C-optioned T-top cars, this Camaro has just 45,302
actual miles on the odometer, making it feel almost new. Painted in
Bright Rally Red, this SS sports the car's signature scooped hood
and has an added center-mount rear exhaust along with an extra set
of 35th Anniversary decals included with its purchase.
Inside, we find a clean stock black leather interior that sports
its original analog HVAC, center console with storage, and
fold-down rear seats to dramatically increase cargo capacity in
case you have a long road trip to look forward to and need some
extra space. A six-CD changer is mounted in the trunk, while the
lone splash of color comes from a red cueball-style aftermarket
short-throw shifter.
Under the hood sits GM's near-legendary 5.7-liter LS1 V-8. With its
aluminum block and heads, this small-block has an SLP Blackwing
cold-air intake, which bumps up the already impressive 325 hp and
350 lb-ft of torque it made from the factory. That power is routed
through a tried-and-true Tremec T56 six-speed manual transmission
before heading out to the stock ten-bolt rear end. Riding on an
independent front and solid axle rear suspension, ten-spoke
seventeen-inch wheels shod in wide 275/40ZR-17 Nitto rubber do
their best to put as many of those ponies to the pavement as
physics will allow.
