AWESOME ORIGINAL CONDITION, GREAT DRIVER, GARAGE KEPT, NO RUST! This is a great find for someone to zip around and love this car the way the previous owners have. Cosmetic
- Paint/Body: The body on this beauty is in exceptional condition for its age and use. Always garage kept, the previous owners really knew how to drive her daily yet keep her in great shape. The paint, while not original, is a few years old but in driver quality condition. A couple of small chips and tough ups in the typical areas but overall is shiny and sweet. The bodylines are super straight and the doors open and close easily. There is no rust that we have found. Some minor bubbling at the drip rails around the windshield but nothing else to note. Just a super sharp looking driver!
- Interior: The interior is original and it shows. The upholstery is dated with some stains and rips. We thought about redoing it but thought what a cool little project for the next guy to put in the kind of interior he prefers! The carpet is in good shape with clean floor mats. The dash is also nice with no gashes or cracking. The interior of the top as some small stains that are expected with its age and originality. Door panels still look nice!
- Glass/Windows: All the glass is in good shape. There is one small chip on the passenger side of the windshield. The rear windows are manual and roll up and down easily. The front windows were working when we purchased the vehicles. Once we rolled them up this last time though, they do not want to roll back down. Probably just needs a relay or some other minor fix.
- Trunk/Bed: The trunk is very clean. Spare tire and jack still located in the trunk. No rust is present. She use to have a stereo system in the trunk so some old wires are there. We think that with new hook ups and speakers the radio would possibly work again.
- Undercarriage: The undercarriage speaks for itself. The oil and transmission pans are very clean. No rust on the frame, floorpans or rockers. Fender wells are very clean as is under the trunk. No rust that we have been able to find.
- Wheels/Tires: She's got some super cool BBS knock off wheels that really pop. Tires are from 2017 and still have plenty of tread.
- Convertible Top: The convertible top is original so it does show some age. Since she has always been garage kept, the top is still in great condition overall. There is some minor discoloration and the weather stripping is aged but she does not leak. The top goes up and down easily and clicks in in the back. It can be put up and down with just one person. Tonneau cover looks good as well and is kept in the trunk.
Mechanical
- Drivetrain: 1.8L 4 cylinder engine fires right up! The manual transmission shifts smoothly through all gears. The gear box is a little loose so it takes a minute to get use to the way she shifts. Once you do though she is a joy to zip around in!
- Lights/Electrical: All the lights are hooked up and functional. The gauges are also all working. Wipers are working! The radio is not currently functioning but most likely an easy fix with rewiring from the old stereo set up in the back. A/C is also hooked up but needs a recharge to fully work.
- Brakes: This girl drives great and power brakes stop straight!
- Power Options: Power brakes and power steering both work awesome!
