Melanson Motors is proud to offer this painstakingly detailed 1955 Chevrolet 3100 Pro Touring. This is a very special build with only 1800 break in miles! Built by Cleveland Design in New Brunswick Canada, no detail was overlooked. This Chevrolet was built to be both an incredible driver and an absolute show piece. It is a complete Pro Touring build with the best of everything, but the owner wanted to keep true to the factory appearance wherever possible. The idea was that most restomod builds become dated looking, but the original 1955 style is timeless. This is the most perfect truck we have seen! The attention to detail is next level. The original rust free california body was painted with high quality PPG paint and 5 coats of clear. Everything was then wet sanded and polished to a mirror finish, including all painted surfaces inside the cabin. To avoid cluttering up the original looking dash, the USB ports and electric e-brake button were fabricated into the ash tray so they are hidden when not in use. Custom power window switches were modified to accept the original style window cranks. It looks like the original crank windows but they are custom powered. The truck rides on a Hitman Hotrods custom chassis with 4 wheel coilovers and a four link. The chassis was smoothed to perfection and finished in matte black. The Big Cam LS3 performance crate engine was painted Chevrolet orange and modified to accept vintage Offenhauser valve covers for a retro look. Custom 15x8 front and 15x10 rear wheels were made by Wheelsmith in California for this truck and fabricated to accept the original 1955 center caps. Custom fabricated mini tubs were installed to help the truck accept the wider rear wheels. The wood used for the bed was milled from walnut logs by a local craftsman. The exhaust is an absolute work of art! The custom stainless steel system was sanded and polished to a mirror finish from front to back. Every panel on the truck was custom gapped using welding and filing by Cleveland Design including the ashtray, glovebox, headlight bezels, and grille. That's right, even the ashtray and glove box were custom gapped for a perfect fit. These are just a small few of the incredible details that give this truck such character and style. This 3100 does everything well on the road. It steers and stops like it's on rails and it sounds amazing.
