It’s time for me to pass my 1980 Corvette to someone who will continue to care for it as much as I have. This Corvette is in immaculate condition, and I’m the third owner. The first two were the result of divorce sales, but luckily, that’s not my story. She’s my baby, and I’ll hate to see her go, but it’s time for someone else to enjoy her.
With only 17,425 original miles, this car is a rare find. Both the interior and exterior are original. She’s never been repainted. There are a few minor paint blemishes and scratches as you would expect to see from a car that was painted 44 years ago. The interior is pristine, with no stains or wear marks.
A few small details: the clock (typical for this model) and the tachometer (I have the replacement parts) aren’t working.
Mechanically, she runs great with no issues. The original L82 engine is still in place, and all numbers match. There were roughly 167 Corvettes made in this combination: Dark Claret Metallic exterior, Claret cloth and leather seats and the L82 engine.
The original AC system is intact and working, recharged with R12 three years ago. Tires were replaced with factory replicas (matching the originals) three years ago and have fewer than 500 miles on them.
If you’re looking for a classic 1980 Corvette C3 that hasn’t been altered, this is it. Cars in this condition, with such low mileage and original features, can be hard to find.
