represents the epitome of American luxury cars in the early 1970s.
Designed by Ford's Lincoln division, the Mark III combines plush
comfort with commanding road presence. It stands as a statement of
elegance and performance, boasting a powerful 7.5L (460 ci) V8
engine and high-end features. This car is an exceptional find for
collectors and enthusiasts alike, capturing the golden age of
American luxury. This original unrestored example was delivered to
Whitey and Sons Lincoln-Mercury in Mansfield, Ohio in at the
beginning of 1971, and initially owned by the sales manager at the
dealership, Mr. Meyers. This Mark III with red paint, black vinyl
top, and white leather interior was distinctive- and caught the
attention of a neighbor, Mrs. Taylor. And the rest, as they say, is
history. The Taylor's purchased it in February 1972, and Mrs.
Taylor was a proud owner and caretaker for the next 52 years. This
car was loved, and it shows. Indeed, this Mark III has been in a
heated garage and meticulously maintained since new. This was a
"second" car for the family and used for special occasions. It was
never in salt or snow. Mrs. Taylor and her husband were also
longtime members of the Lincoln & Continental Owner's Club (LCOC)
for over 50 years and drove this car to many meets and shows over
the years, winning recognition and awards for originality and
condition. The current owner purchased the vehicle in November of
2023, and has continued the high standard of care. As well as the
tradition of sharing this treasure with the public at many shows.
