Vehicle Description
Only 20,674 Landau 63Bs were produced in 1965. This lovely
collector car is ready for shows or a cross-country run!
Originally finished in Patrician Green, the car was repainted
Wimbledon White in the early 1980s.
Features include a white vinyl-covered Landau hardtop roof, a
wrap-around chrome-finished front bumper, quad headlights,
gun-sight front turn signals, sequential rear turn signals, and a
chrome pinched-loop-style rear bumper.
In 2024, services done included overhauling the brakes (including
replaced master cylinder), calipers and rear wheel cylinders,
rebuilding the carburetor, recharging the air conditioning system,
and replacing the fuel tank and level sending unit, distributor cap
and rotor, tires, fuel filters, and air filter.
The car is powered by a 390ci V8 mated to a Cruise-O-Matic
three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a white
vinyl-covered Landau hardtop roof, 15inch steel wheels with spats,
quad headlights, front bucket seats, a curved rear bench, power
windows, a swing-away steering wheel, an AM/FM radio, and a
MagicAire heater/defroster/air conditioning, front disc brakes and
rear drums.
Simulated wood trim accents adorn the console, instrument panel,
door panels, and rear quarter trim panels. Amenities include front
and rear center armrests, power windows, an AM/FM radio, and a
MagicAire heater/defroster and air conditioning.
The two-spoke steering wheel is mounted to a swing-away column and
frames a horizontal-sweep 120-mph speedometer and gauges for oil
pressure, fuel level, coolant temperature, and amperage.
The 390ci V8 was factory rated at 300 horsepower and 427 lb-ft of
torque.
The warranty number is consistent with that of a 1965 Thunderbird
Landau coupe built in Wixom, Michigan. Further decoding of the trim
tag reveals the following information:
