2000 Jaguar XKR Factory Supercharged Convertible
2nd owner car attesting to its care from the ORIGINAL OWNER.
Most car collectors will agree that the Jaguar XKR roadster are probably in general, one of the best values in the car collecting marketplace. Yes, the value of these XKRs have no place to go but straight up. The “R” of course stands for the fact that the car is super charged, thereby giving it 370 hp for this relatively lightweight car! The acceleration of course is just totally unbelievable!
This car is painted in the Westminster Blue over Cashmere interior and is one of the favorite color combos for this model. Besides being extremely fast, these cars are known for their excellent handling and the suspension on this car has been recently rebuilt and updated.
The following is an excerpt from Car and Driver, Jan 1 2000: review on these XKR’s when they first came out and indicated “Still, all that sex appeal is just luscious icing on a fast, well-mannered, well-built cake. The XKR is the most desirable Jag two-door sold here in at least 25 years, it represents some real value in comparison with other high-end performance cars.
Despite the spectacular looks, it's the engine's magnificence that defines the XKR's character. The 370-hp, 4.0-liter DOHC AJ V-8's supercharged low end torque at 1600 rpm with 290 pound-feet of torque on its way to its own peak 387 pound-feet at 3600 rpm. It a truly powerful and very fast and comfortable car. The car does not accelerate like a muscle car but accelerates very smooth, very swiftly and just pulls and pulls while it lays you back in your seat…a very exciting experience”.
Since 2000, the Jaguar XKRs are known for their comfort, luxury and high end performance with its super charger and it is also a wonderful car that you can drive for hours without fatigue.
This car is a beautiful street driver condition both cosmetically and mechanically, in very well maintained condition and ready for short or long tours.
The engine system has been serviced with all eight spark plugs/ignition coils, radiator hoses, water pump, brake upgrade kit that was imported from England.
The power convertible top works as it should.
The two stage Sport Exhaust System exhaust note is terrific. The Jag sounds just like a Jaguar should!
Bilstein shocks and OEM shock mounts up front.
Michelin Pilot 4S tires.
New battery.
Upgraded Kenwood sound system that is Blue Tooth/Car Play compatible.
Well documented car and 76,613 miles.
The really good news is that this car is priced at an asking price that makes it a very attractively priced collector car and is in everybody’s favorite Westminster Blue. Again, cosmetically it is in very nice street condition and the private second owner and hope to find a third owner that will pamper the car just the way it has been taken care of since new.
