This 1971 Plymouth Cuda was built on the 11th of June, 1971 at the
Hamtramck, Michigan plant. Notably, this car was ordered with a 340
cubic inch 4 barrel V8 engine mated to a heavy duty 4 speed manual
transmission. It was also optioned in GY9 Tawny Gold, which was a
low production color. Only about 4.6% of Cudas were GY9. It was
ordered with power front disc brakes, power steering, vinyl bucket
seats, AM Radio, rear window defog, dual exhaust, bright exhaust
tips and sport hood. The Rallye dash is in great shape and there
are no cracks in the dash pad. A pistol grip shifter sits in a
beautiful center console. An original style 3 spoke Barracuda
steering wheel is in place. This Cuda has been the recipient of a
rotisserie restoration and is just as clean underneath as it is up
top!
It is presented now with 82,900 miles on the odometer and the
mileage is believed to be original. The period-correct 340 engine
has been rebuilt. It is an 'FW340P' 1970, Windsor Built, P Code
High Performance 340. The car starts and runs very well. The A833
4-speed is period correct with a 1971 date code. The transmission
shifts smoothly and with power steering and disc brakes, this car
is an excellent driver! The rear end is an 8 � rebuilt with new
suregrip 3.55 gear. The paint is fresh and shows very well! The
chrome and brightwork show very well throughout the car. This Cuda
rides on 14 inch Rally wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich Radial
tires.
