For Sale: 1968 Chevrolet C10 in Volo, Illinois

Vehicle Description

What a hottie with Killer colors and Killer stance! Fuel injected LS engine, overdrive, and A/C! Less than 1,000 miles since the frame off custom build was completed. Pay close attention to all the custom mods. This one is slick and sexy!

EXTERIOR: Super sleek! Really clean presentation here with deleted factory emblems and hints of red that arouse the senses. Stunning Midnight Black Metallic paint is laid out with expert detail and polished to a mirror like finish. I could literally shave in its reflection. The panels have been painstakingly aligned with nice and consistent gaps that are spot on. The doors close easily with minimal effort. Looking down the side of the body it is absolutely 100% laser straight without a wave in sight. The dual carbon fiber hood inserts and sport mirrors remind you this is a modern restomod. The steel cowl induction hood, front tucked, and smooth bumper and the rear roll pan notched for the exhaust really enhance the profile. The trim is all nice and straight and shiny with a custom painted red line that really accents the interior. "RST" or "rally sport truck" badges borrowed from a late model Chevy pickup are a pretty cool touch too. The upgraded LED headlights also have turn signals built in that makes the overall look even more sleek. The headlight bezels and front grille are both in great shape. It's sitting on staggered chrome rims that are 20" in front and 22" in back. Even with the ultra-low profile tires it still fills up the wheel wells nicely. 275/25ZR22 is the rear tire size.

INTERIOR: Full custom and the red really pops! It was upgraded with some modern amenities like a set of Dakota digital gauges and a 9" touch screen that controls the stereo, Bluetooth streaming, navigation, internet connectivity, and other apps. The gauge bezel and dash pad were also replaced. The remaining dash metal and cab ceiling were nicely painted red. Climate controls for the modern Vintage Air system were also neatly mounted. It's equipped with a custom billet wood grain steering wheel. It has custom seats that are freshly wrapped and have great support. The door panels are also custom in addition to the center console with built in cupholders and storage. The kick panels, gas and brake pedals, rear view mirror, and carpeting were also replaced.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The best of everything! It's a modern aluminum fuel injected 5.3 liter LS with a custom intake. Nicely equipped with air conditioning, power steering, and power brakes that are disc at all 4 wheels. Everything looks fresh and clean with custom red valve covers and a really cool air induction system. The radiator was upgraded to a large aluminum unit that has dual electric fans. The battery is also fresh, and the horns are hooked up. Very classy chrome brake booster and master cylinder with proportioning valve. Everything is neatly run and concealed for an organized look. The underside of the hood, fender wells, and firewall are all nicely painted black just like the body.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The back side of the tailgate and jamb are body color and painted slick. The builder also added wheel tubs and the remaining metal was neatly painted Midnight Metallic. The bed floor was covered with a durable laminate material. A flush mount fuel filler was incorporated as well.

UNDERSIDE: Frame off restoration! The steering has all been rebuilt. The suspension was also redone and now has lowering springs up front. In the rear it was back halved with an adjustable four link suspension, panhard bar and adjustable coilover shocks. Upgraded full dual exhaust system with 02 sensor, fresh mufflers, and polished splitter tips exiting under the rear bumper. Retrofitted with disc brakes at all 4 wheels. The gas tank was replaced and it has new hardware too. Looking up at the modern 5.3L LS motor it is nice and clean with a high torque starter. That is linked to a 4L60E overdrive automatic transmission that is great for highway cruising. The power is transferred through a custom-built driveshaft and a 10 bolt posi rear end. The floors are all rust free solid metal. The frame was also prepped and powder coated.

SERVICE: Our shop manager thoroughly inspected this truck and we repaired the backup light switch, repaired the shifter linkage, removed the washer pump, repaired the turn signals, repaired the fuse box connections, plus we replaced the hood springs and hinges.

What a sharp frame off custom build! The high level of workmanship is not to be ignored. The truck deserves all the attention because it is done totally right. Plus, it has all the modern upgrades that you could ever want. This restomod pickup is an absolute winner!
