For Sale: 1936 Chevrolet 1-1/2 Ton Pickup in Granite Bay, California

Vehicle Description

This 1936 Chevrolet 1½-ton stake truck was refurbished under previous ownership before it was purchased by the current owner in 2014. The truck is finished in red with black fenders over brown upholstery, and power comes from a 207ci inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Features include a dually rear axle, hydraulic drum brakes, a wood stake bed, turn signals, air horns, dual side mirrors, a receiver hitch, a rear spotlight, and a heater. This Chevrolet stake truck is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with a starter crank and a clean California title in the name of the owner’s LLC that lists the truck as a Chevrolet without a model year.

The steel bodywork is finished in red with black fenders and features a chrome front bumper, turn signals, dual side-view mirrors, air horns, running boards with Chevrolet-branded step plates, a wood stake bed, a rear spotlight, and a receiver hitch. Imperfections in the finish can be seen in the gallery.

Black-finished 20″ steel wheels feature white pinstriping, and they are mounted with 6.50–20 BFGoodrich Silvertown Power Express bias-ply tires. The truck is equipped with front and rear leaf springs, a dually rear axle, and hydraulic four-wheel drum brakes.

The cab features a split bench seat trimmed in brown upholstery along with a color-coordinated headliner and door panels. A black mat covers the floor, and additional equipment includes a heater and a locking glovebox.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 100-mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level, water temperature, amperage, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 6,200 miles, approximately 80 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The 207ci inline-six features a Carter YF carburetor and was factory rated at 72 horsepower. The engine and carburetor are said to have been rebuilt under previous ownership. The truck is titled by its engine number, K6594335.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission. Corrosion on the underside can be seen in the gallery.
