This 1979 International Scout II is a really cool find. It is an
awesome color and has had only 2 Owners since new. The last owner
has had this Scout for the last 26 years where he drove it
occasionally in the summers. The first owner was from Arkansas. The
last owner stated the miles are original and based on the extremely
clean underside and rust free condition it is pretty clear they
are. The body on this Scout is super clean and straight. The
Embassy Gray Paint appears to be all original and really looks
great. The original graphics are really cool as well! It is a very
cool combination and the factory paint is in surprisingly nice
condition. The hard top has been repainted at some point and this
also comes with a complete K-Line Soft Top In great shape. All of
the chrome and trim is original and nice. The underside is
extremely clean and we found no rust issues with this vehicle. The
underside is original and has been untouched and it shows how nice
this rig is.
The interior is also really nice and very original. Both seat have
been reupholstered and look new. It also has new headliner and
carpet. This Scout has the deluxe door panels that are still
excellent. The dash, dash bezel, and steering wheel are also
original and in excellent condition. It has a factory roll bar with
custom padding added. The headlights, taillights, brakelights, and
turn signals are all working. The gauges all work. The horn is not
working but we will be trying to fix that. This Scout has AC and
the system is complete but not blowing cold.
Mechanically this Scout is excellent! It runs and drives great!!
The engine is believed to be the original 5.6L 345 V8 that runs
strong with no issues or red flags that we found. It is totally
stock. It has the T18 4 Speed Manual Transmission that shifts nice
with a good clutch. It is mated to the Dana 20 transfer case and
the 4WD works like it should. It has Dana 44 Axles front and rear
with 3.73 gears. It is all sitting on a nice set of factory chrome
rallye wheels with 31 Inch Pirelli Scorpion All terrain Tires. This
is an awesome vehicle!!!
We drive what we sell so that we can give you a first hand and
accurate report on how the vehicle runs and drives. Our pictures
are never touched up or photoshopped. What you see is an accurate
representation of the vehicle. We take consistent pictures and show
