Vehicle Description
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this exceptional 1975
Mercedes-Benz 450SL for your consideration. It is powered by a
strong 4.5L V8 motor producing 225hp and 278lb-ft, which was nearly
the same amount of power as the larger US market 560SL model. Mated
to the motor is an automatic transmission that shifts strong
between gears. This example received a complete motor and
transmission rebuild to OEM standards in 2017 at Prestige Imports
of Grand Rapids, MI totaling over $18,000. In addition to the motor
rebuild, the selling owner notes that this example is fitted with
new tires as well as a new audio system including a single DIN
Kenwood head unit.
This example is finished in Midnight Blue and is fitted with a
matching blue leather interior. Wood trim adorns the center console
as well as the dashboard perfectly complementing the wood steering
wheel. Overall, both the interior and exterior presentation is top
shelf, making this one of the nicest 450SLs to come through our
doors. Riding on polished alloy/body paint matched wheels, not only
is the condition good, so is the exterior aesthetic.
The Mercedes-Benz SL series was the top of the line sports luxury
tourer that offered both performance and comfort. Produced from
1971 all the way to 1989, the R107 lived a long and cherished life.
The United States was an extremely popular market for the personal
luxury coupe and almost ? of all SL's were sold here. Please call
or email today with any questions or for additional
