This 59 Icon is located in Germany near Frankfurt international airport. It was completely restored in the 1990ies under good old German standards.
The original 390 engine was rebuild before the car came to Germany. Transmission was rebuilt in 2014.
As you have perhaps recognized, this is not a factory convertible. But - an absolutely awesome and professional conversion with original 59 convertible parts. This conversion was also done in Germany during restoration. It was built from a Coupe de Ville.
The original roof was converted into a real hard top. This hard top is closed by original convertible latches and can be easily removed in 30 seconds by two persons or a simple top-lifter in your garage.
The Caddy is completely rust free and whole body and frame is in excellent condition. Upholstery was also remanufactured during restoration. The 390 engine is running absolutely perfect and smooth - like it should be in this Cadillac.
The engine was lightly improved with an edelbrock carburetor and electronic distributor.
Since restoration, the Caddy never ever saw any salty streets, even no rain or wet street conditions. It was always kept in a dry and heated garage. As well does the 4 Speed
