"Tri-Five" was the popular nickname given to the 1955, 1956 and
1957 Chevrolet 150, 210 and Bel Air passenger cars. The "Tri-Five"
Chevy's have always been an icon in automotive history. With their
great 50's styling, they are instantly recognizable and have always
been highly sought after by automotive collectors and enthusiasts
alike. This 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air is an excellent example of these
iconic classics and benefits from an older frame-off restoration
that still presents very well today. The Bel Air's Gloss Black
exterior shines very well and is in very good condition throughout.
The Bel Air's Gloss Black exterior is nicely complimented by the
Chevy's factory-style chrome and stainless trim, chrome front and
rear bumpers, and a set of Keystone Classic wheels wrapped in
BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. This "Tri-Five" Chevy features a
custom Black vinyl interior with a number of custom touches
throughout including: custom molded kick panels equipped with
aftermarket speakers, polished tilt steering column, column-mounted
Sun-Pro tachometer, B&M ratchet shifter, Grant steering wheel,
and under-dash mounted A/C vents. Powering this stunning 1955
Chevrolet Bel Air is a very potent 427 cubic inch small-block V8
built by Baker Prototype and Engineering and backed by a
Turbo-Hydramatic 400 3-speed automatic transmission. Both the
engine and transmission perform just as they should, with great
street manners and have plenty of power to set you back in your
seat when the mood strikes. The high-compression (12:1) 427 V8
breathing through a set of long tube headers feeding the custom
dual exhaust system, produces an intoxicating V8 sound. This
beautiful Chevrolet comes to a halt with ease thanks to the Wilwood
4-wheel power disc brake system. This 1955 Chevrolet is very well
equipped with options such as: power steering, power 4-wheel disc
brakes, tilt steering column, air conditioning (in-op), variable
speed wipers, AM/FM stereo (in-op), Sun-Pro auxiliary gauges,
Sun-Pro column-mounted tachometer, and heater. If you are in the
market for a very well restored "Tri-Five" Chevrolet Bel Air that
is turn-key ready to enjoy, with much more power than stock and
would present very well at your local car show or cruise-in, then
you will want to take a very close look at this gorgeous 1955
Chevrolet Bel Air.
