Vehicle Description
1996 Jeep Cherokee This is an XJ built to explore. It's an off-road
toy/camping trip vehicle. I've built up and enjoyed this ride for
many years. Specs: 4.0L, AX15 manual trans, 231 Tcase. JK Wrangler
Rubicon front axle with factory eLocker. Ford 8.8 rear axle with
Yukon Ultimate 88 axles and Detroit Locker. 4.88 gears. 35/12.5R17
Goodyear Wrangler MT/R tires. Best mod ever is the Jeep Liberty Sky
Slider power ragtop roof for open air fun! Warn M8000 winch, exo
body protection, hydro-assist steering, and a car refrigerator is
included. THE BAD: has a mis-fire on cylinder 5. I've diagnosed is
low compression on the intake side. I installed a Clearwater
rebuilt head last year and don't have the time/energy to tear back
into it. Rear axle fluid is also weeping from right side seal.
