This appears to be a #'s matching engine, transmission and rear end
appears accurate. The engine number is visible in our pictures
(TO13ILP) however, we had to take pictures of the rear end with our
phone and have those pics on file, which is 2 AU 6 24 68 (AU which
is a 3.36 Heavy Duty rear end). The Transmission numbers are also
on file but that number is 135715982, which everything adds up to
being correct. There is no paperwork on the car unfortunately. This
car had a restoration started a long time ago and has been sitting
for years just being unearthed for the next owner to take over.
This was originally a code 990 paint car which is Monaco Orange.
The car had a re-spray at some point and is OK at best. This is a
complete car and a very rare one at that, showing just over 1,000
example built. The interior on the car shows decent and could be
brought back to life. The engine does run, however it appears to be
missing a cylinder or two which is the result of a couple lifters
not operating as they should. The lights and gauges seem to work,
however the vacuum system that operate the pop up headlights and
wipers is inop. The fit and alignment of the car is off, however it
does not appear to have been hit, at least from what I can tell.
The underside actually looks quite tidy with fresh suspension
parts, powder coated items, fresh exhaust from Paragon and other
items that look new. The car does start right up and idles quite
easily in my opinion for a 427 that is dragging some lifter. The
convertible top is decent. These cars bring six-figures when
restored.
