This 1983 Jeep CJ7 is a all steel, clean, and mostly original Jeep
that spent its life in the Southwest, Texas, and Louisiana. This is
a really cool Jeep that has had around $10,000 worth of maintenance
and upgrades in the last 5,000 miles. We do have receipts for this
work. A cool item about this Jeep is that it appears to have
original Marauder Decals which from what we have found is a dealer
added item back in the day. The body on this Jeep is clean and
straight. The Topaz Gold Metallic paint appears to be all original
as do the decals. Th paint looks good with patina showing from over
the years. It is a really cool looking Jeep with the original paint
and decals. The factory hard doors come with the Jeep and also
appear to be original. It does have a new Soft Top that has been
installed. It has the original bumpers, side steps and also has the
aluminum rocker guards. The underside is clean and we found no rust
issues with this Jeep.
The interior is in great condition! It is y9our basic Jeep interior
with Bestop front reclining seats, factory rear seat, roll bar,
original dash, original dash bezel, and original door panels. The
headlights, taillights, brakelights, and turn signals are all
working. The gauges all work including the Tach. The factory clock
still works. The heat, windshield wipers, and horn also work.
Mechanically this Jeep is excellent and it runs and drives great!
The engine is the 4.2L 258 Inline 6 that runs great with no issues
or red flags that we found. It has a Weber Carb, new fuel pump, new
radiator, new heater core, new alternator, new power steering pump,
new belts and hoses, new valve cover gasket, full tune-up, new oil
pan gasket and new rear main seal. The transmission is the T4 4
Speed manual that shifts nice with a good clutch. It is mated to
the Dana 20 transfer case and the 4WD works like it should. The
rear axle is an AMC 20 with 3.54 gears and it has new bearings and
seals. The front axle is a Dana 30 with 3.54 gears with new seals.
It also has new front and rear driveshafts. It has a new 2 Inch
lift kit with all new springs, shocks, and HD greasable shackles.
The brakes have recently been gone through with a new brake
booster, new front calipers and pads, new rear brake drums and
shoes, and new brake lines and hoses. This is all sitting on a nice
set of Black Steel Wheels with like new 32 Inch Kumho Mud Terrain
tires.
