ABOUT THE CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE
For those of you familiar with the Chrysler Crossfire you can possibly skip this top part and drop down to the information on my car, the one offered For Sale here.
-The Chrysler Crossfire was produced for 5 model years-2004-2008. Total production was
76,014 were built.
-The Crossfires were built in Germany as a part of Daimler-Benz (Mercedes Benz). The Cross
fire was a collaboration between Mercedes and Chrysler as Chrysler was owned by
Daimler-Benz at that time.
-The Crossfire has the Mercedes-Benz M112 3.2 L 18-valve SOHC V-6 rated at 215 HP. It
Was built on the Mercedes R170 platform and the suspension and transmissions were from
the Mercedes SLK 320. The Crossfire is about 80% Mercedes with quality throughout.
-The predecessors to the Crossfire were the Prowler and the Chrysler TC Maserati.
-The first Crossfire was built February 3, 2003 and this first car was sold in early 2004. The
Last Crossfire was built on December 17 2007 as a 2008 model. A total of 76,014 were built
Over the 5 years of production. Just 1,786 were 2008 Models. (3.2% of total).
