Vehicle Description
This sinister 1989 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z is the result of a
two-year rotisserie build with no bolt left unturned. Starting with
a clean and rust-free Florida car, the body was stripped down to
the bare unibody and like the Phoenix it rose from the ashes
stronger and faster. The body was refinished in beautiful
basecoat/clearcoat black paint with factory replacement silver
IROC-Z graphics and the perfect offsetting blue pinstripe above the
rockers. The glass is original and has deep tint to complete the
blacked-out appearances. Under the hood was slipped a 383ci Stroker
V-8 with Holley Stealth Ram fuel injection, MSD ignition, beautiful
stainless headers and a loud and proud 3-inch dual exhaust system
that screams Merica every time you dip your right foot. This
monster mill is bolted to a Borg Warner 6-speed manual transmission
and sends power back to a professionally built GM 10-bolt rear axle
with a 3.73 gear, limited slip, studded cover and welded axle
tubes. Helping to keep all the power under control are Spohn
Performance torque arm brace, adjustable lower rear control arms,
and an adjustable rear Panhard bar. The tired original struts and
shocks have been replaced with yellow Sport Konis all around, while
Eibach lowering springs set the car down nicely for that just right
stance. Braking has been improved with dual piston front and single
piston rear HD brakes with slotted and cross drilled rotors all
around. The gorgeous 5-spoke polished aluminum 19 wheels are a mile
wide with a deep lip and wrapped in sticky Michelin Pilot Sport
rubber. Inside this black beauty is probably the nicest 3rd gen
interior out there, with power 4th gen leather bucket seats that
look like they came that way, Alpine AM/FM/CD/Bluetooth stereo,
power windows, locks, and mirrors, LED lighting, and removable
glass T-tops.The 3rd generation IROC-Zs were the icons of the
1980s, and you weren't cool unless you were driving an IROC with
the T-tops out and some Van Halen blasting on the stereo. And while
the IROCs always had the looks, the performance while good for its
day, leaves something to be desired in our modern times. This
amazing restomod IROC-Z gives you the unique opportunity to own one
of the cleanest, head turning, iconic automobiles of the 80s but
now with the performance to back up those looks. Contact Brian at
