Gateway Classic Cars Houston Showroom is proud to present this
clean 1968 Plymouth GTX. Plymouth first introduced the GTX the year
prior to this one being built but how a year changed so much, and
for the better. The curves on the 68 make the car much more
intimidating and desirable to have. This beauty has had some fine
work done to her, making her a must have. Under the hood sits a 5.7
HEMI engine that has a XV carb kit sitting on top. The owner
decided to upgrade the transmission to a TKO manual 5-speed that
will ensure a powerful and smooth ride while pushing through the
gears. The rear end was replaced with a 8-3/4 and is fitted with
Tru Trac limited slip differential. The exterior has recently been
painted in a Viper Billet Metallic by BZ customz out in Mesa
Arizona. This work was done in 2018 where they also blacked out the
chrome trim and bumpers. The interior was redone in a full custom
black interior that has a silver accent, adding a gritty and tough
look to this American muscle classic. Enjoy the luxury of A/C as
vintage Air was installed when doing the restoration work on this
beauty. The car host few other features like power brakes and power
steering giving you a much more laxed driving experience. Whether
you're a collector of classic cars or a fan of American muscle, the
1968 Plymouth GTX offers a unique blend of style, performance, and
heritage. With its distinctive features and powerful engine, this
vehicle is a testament to a bygone era of automotive excellence.
Embrace the opportunity to own a piece of history that continues to
captivate and inspire.
