This 1997 Ford F250 Supercab XLT Heavy Duty is an extremely nice,
low mileage, very original truck that spent its life in the Pacific
NW. This truck has obviously been well cared for based on t its
condition. The body is clean and straight. The Light Saddle
Metallic and Oxford White paint appears to be all original and
looks excellent. All of the original chrome and trim is also in
excellent condition. It has original Ford running boards and a nice
spray in bedliner. The underside of this F250 is really clean and
we found no rust issues with this truck.
The interior is also in beautiful condition. The seats, carpet,
headliner, door panels, dash, and dash bezel are all original and
in excellent condition. The headlights, taillights, brakelights,
and turn signals are all working. The gauges all work. This truck
has tilt wheel and working cruise control. It has working power
windows and power locks. The horn and windshield wipers work. The
heat and AC also work on this truck.
Mechanically this truck is excellent and it runs and drives
wonderful. The engine is the original 5.8L 351W V8 that runs strong
and smooth with no issues or red flags. The engine is stock, but
the exhaust was modified with aftermarket mufflers that sound
great. The transmission is the E40D that shifts great and it is
mated to the Borg Warner manual transfer case. The 4WD works like
it should. It has the Ford 10.25 rear axle with 4.10 gears and a
limited slip. The front axle is a Dana 44 TTB with 4.10 gears. This
is all sitting on a nice set of aftermarket aluminum wheels with a
nice set of Cooper Discoverer ST tires. These trucks are becoming
harder and harder to find and this is a really nice one.
