Seven years after production began, Jaguar was forced to make major updates to the E-Type to meet ever-more stringent emissions and safety requirements in the United States. The Series II, as it would be known, was therefore a fairly major departure from the original car. While it would have been understandable for them to shut down production as the factory was retooled, Jaguar decided to introduce a “transitional” series. Commonly referred to as the “Series I.5” by enthusiasts, these cars showcase a blend of Series 1 and 2 equipment.
The stunning 1968 Jaguar E-type Series I.5 4.2 Roadster featured here is finished in its factory-correct specification of Carmen Red over Black with a matching Black folding convertible top. This exquisite motorcar was subject to an extensive restoration by marque experts and is no ready to be enjoyed by its next caretaker. Because of its exceptional condition and rarity, I personally believe the investment potential of this British classic will grow beyond your imagination. We proudly offer this remarkable E-Type to the most demanding collector, investor, or enthusiast who desires to own one of the very best at an investment price.
