1955 Nomad Project back on the Market! Zoom sold this car in July
of 2024 and it was purchased by the current owner who planned to
restomod the car but life got in the way. Instead he took the car
to the next level, had the original motor worked on to get it
running once again and added new exhaust, brakes, radiator, shocks,
rear end, wiring harness and installed the windshield and added
many new chrome pieces. Also put on new BF Goodrich Radial T/A
tires mounted on new Rally wheels. Owner has most of the parts to
finish. Now needs dash installed, front bumper needs to be
rechromed and reinstalled and the floors still need repair. Just
wet sanded and paint looks very good. Still a project car of sorts
but with much less to do. Hard to find one in this condition and
ready for you to take it to completion. Following is the listing
description from earlier in the year.....Zoom Classic Cars presents
this iconic 1955 Chevrolet Nomad Wagon PROJECT Car. Owned since
1986 and off the road long before that with lots of work completed
featuring the original rebuilt 265 CI and 2 Speed powerglide
automatic transmission. Car has not been started since 1990's. Has
disc brakes. Body in overall good condition with some rust as shown
including on the floors that will need attention/repair or
replacement and braces installed. Repaint in original Aqua lacquer
in decent condition. Car is about 65-70% complete and needs
interior to be finished - dash, door panels etc and bumpers and
exterior trim restored and installed. Many parts and pieces
included but car will probably require the sourcing of some new or
used trim pieces to complete. Many of the trim pieces should be
available new through the Danchuk Manufacturing Company or Zoom can
refer you to several local Classic Chevy parts dealers that we do
business with and who may have some parts. Rear bumper is in decent
condition and will need rechroming or replacement. Car comes with
extra bumper as shown near driver door. All need restoration or
replacement. Bench seats are in very good condition. Headliner in
decent shape. Rear hatch works as it should and all the glass is
intact and in very good condition including a brand new windshield.
Undercarriage is ok and features dual exhaust and new suspension
parts. Will need floor work as mentioned. Car current has
285/35/ZR22s on custom alloy wheels. Great project for the Nomad
enthusiast to restore to original or as a restomod project. All
buyers are strongly encouraged to visit the car stored in MA to
validate condition and inventory all parts that will go with the
sale. One of three 55 Chevys being offered for sale by the owner
with the other two being a 150 2 Door Wagon that has been modified
to look like a Sedan Delivery and the other car a 210 Coupe. The 55
Nomad has clean MA title in the owner's name. Call Jeff for more
information. PRICE IMPROVED! Actual VIN # is VC55T125877. Thanks
for Looking.
