This beauty was a campground vehicle at KOA in Oregon for 40 years,
accumulating just 95,000 miles. Always rust free it was treated to
a professional repaint in its original Colonial Yellow and a new
350 crate motor sourced from S&J Engines in June 2021, which
included the installation of a replacement radiator. Subsequent
work involved replacing the fuel tank as well as the oil pan and
carburetor base gaskets. The transmission was rebuilt in 2021.
Equipped with the Trailering Special package (11,000 lbs), a
dual-range transfer case, a locking rear differential, woodgrain
bodyside paneling, a chrome roof rack, running boards, a receiver
hitch, dual zone AC, power steering, power brakes, and a tailgate
with a power-sliding rear window. The three bench seats have been
reupholstered in tan vinyl, and a Bluetooth-capable Kenwood head
unit with backup camera has been installed. Additional work
involved installing replacement window seals all around, adding
sound-deadening material in the floor and ceiling, and replacing
the air conditioning compressor, condenser and accumulator. This
Suburban is now offered with service records and photos of the
refurbishment work.
