Zoom Classic Cars presents this 1955 Studebaker Starliner Coupe
with race history including Bonneville, the Salt Flats, NASCAR,
IMSA and Daytona where it raced starting with its first race in
1955 and continuing through the 1990's. After many years of racing
the car was converted to a street legal car to be driven for fun
and now features a replacement 1983 Kenny Bell V6 Buick 231CI
engine with auto fan from a Regal coupled with an automatic Buick
transmission with converter and Studebaker Dana rear end and 3:50
gear ratio. New Mallory ignition system, wires and AC Delco R45TSX
plugs added in 2017. Olds Omega front end with disc brakes and
POWER STEERING. Original steering wheel. All the chrome and trim is
complete and in overall decent condition with pitting and surface
rust on chrome as shown. Interior is in overall good condition with
a 1957 Hawk Dashboard with full race gauge set including tach and
engine hours that all work as they should including the heater and
all of the lights. Vinyl adjustable bucket seats with rip on
driver's side seat as shown. Back seat removed and equipped with
Full Race Roll bar. Fire extinguisher included. Car rides on M & S
tires P195/14 in the front and P205/15 in the rear with smooth race
hubcaps. Body is in good condition but paint is showing its age
with imperfections as shown along the side, on the trunk lid where
the high wing race spoiler attaches and in other areas as shown,
Decals show the History of races and former sponsors. Solid frame
and undercarriage with the typical surface rust. This is a very
solid 30 footer that has been mechanically maintained and can be
driven and enjoyed as is or subject to a cosmetic restoration for
the Studebaker or race enthusiast. Comes with clean MA title in the
