Zoom Classic Cars is proud to present this 1992 Jaguar XJS
Convertible in the original Brook Meadow Green. The 1992 Jaguar XJS
Convertible is a luxurious two-door convertible that represents the
epitome of British grand touring cars. With its sleek lines,
powerful V12 engine and sumptuous interior, this elegant roadster
promises an unforgettable driving experience. The vehicle was
imported into the U.S. at the port of Houston in 1992. The current
owner purchased the vehicle in 2011 and has consistently maintained
the vehicle and kept it garaged while not in use during his
ownership. This vehicle has 91,334 miles. Under the hood, the
Jaguar XJS Convertible boasts a potent 5.4-liter V12 engine,
producing 318 horsepower and 364 lb.-ft of torque. This powerful
engine is paired with a smooth 3 speed automatic transmission,
offering effortless acceleration and seamless gear changes.
Visually, the Jaguar XJS Convertible is a stunning example of
classic Jaguar styling. Its elegant lines are accentuated by smooth
curves, long hood, and sculpted fenders. The original paint has
held up very well with minimal nicks or signs of wear. There are
some small dings in the chrome, and minor paint damage by the gas
cap, both shown in the photos. The power-operated convertible top
folds down quickly and easily as it should, allowing occupants to
soak up the sun and feel the wind in their hair. Inside the cabin,
the Jaguar XJS Convertible pampers occupants with premium leather
seats. The driver's seat shows some signs of wear, while the
passenger seat appears minimally worn. The interior also features
plush carpets, and rich wood trim. In 2015 the left & right panels
were re-veneered, as well as the AC panel and shift panel. The four
XJS Door panels were also refinished. The dashboard is
well-organized, displaying easy-to-read gauges, clock and controls,
which all function properly. The clock panel is a bit sun faded and
could be updated. The driver's side sunscreen is in need of repair.
The center console features a premium audio system and easy-to-use
climate controls, while the glove box contains a handy tool kit and
service manual. Safety features on the Jaguar XJS Convertible
include anti-lock brakes, traction control, and airbags for both
driver and passenger. In 2015 the gas tank was replaced, as well as
the fuel pump, pre-screen and sending unit. Additional maintenance
and repairs include the heater control valve replaced in 2020, and
then in 2022 the anti-lock Brake Accumulator and power steering
pump were replaced. Also, in 2022 a new expansion tank was
installed, along with a new battery, ABS tank, and 4 new Cooper
Cobra GT tires. The car's construction is solid and sturdy,
providing excellent protection in the event of an accident.
Overall, this 1992 Jaguar XJS Convertible is a timeless classic
that combines performance, luxury, and style in one incredibly
desirable package. Its blend of grace, power, and refinement has
made it a favorite of discerning drivers for decades, and its
reputation as a true automotive icon continues to grow. The car is
