Vehicle Description
Zoom Classic Cars is proud to present this 1989 Jaguar XJS
Convertible. The 1989 Jaguar XJS convertible is a luxurious and
stylish grand tourer that exudes elegance, sophistication, and
timeless charm. It represents the epitome of British automotive
design and craftsmanship, combining sleek lines, refined details,
and effortless performance in a package that is both iconic and
distinctive. This particular Jaguar has a great deal of life left
in it as it has been driven just over 36000 miles. The vehicle is
powered by the original 5.3-liter 12-cylinder Jaguar motor and
transfers the power to the rear wheels via a three-speed automatic
transmission. The vehicle is in the original factory red. The
convertible top folds down neatly and stores as it should behind
the seat at the touch of a button. All gauges including
speedometer, odometer, tachometer, gas gauge, temperature, oil
pressure, and amperage function as expected. The interior is graced
with the rich wood dash, clean carpet, and heated, power leather
bucket seats. The vehicle is equipped with heat, AC, AM/FM CD
player, upgraded speakers, and a customized display of travel
statistics. It starts, runs and drives just as it should. It has
been well cared for and maintained as evidenced in the photos, as
well as documentation of work that has been done. In 2020 the front
subframe mounts were replaced, a new AC compressor was installed,
rear shocks installed, new front brake pads, rotors resurfaced,
both front wheel bearings were replaced. Also, in 2020 the Pirelli
P600 tires were installed on the vehicle, and they have just over
2000 miles on them since that time. In 2021 both valve cover
gaskets, PCV valve, front crank seal with timing cover plug, all
accessory belts, lower oil pan gasket, transmission pan gasket were
all replaced. 2021 also saw the vehicle receiving alignment shims
and receiving a four-wheel alignment. In 2022 a new water pump was
installed, as well as the engine speed sensor, top dead center
sensor, as well as a new power steering rack and pump. In 2023 a
new radiator pressure cap was installed. An ignition module was
replaced this year. When the ignition module was replaced the
jaguar dealership was doing a routine inspection of the brakes and
found them to be good but now the anti-lock light is on. Was told
that is common with older cars, something got jiggled and turned
the light on. The brakes are fine. The vehicle comes with a small
tool kit, owner's manual, a clean CarFax report, a Nebraska title
in the seller's name and a Union Jack car cover. The 1989 Jaguar
XJS convertible embodies the essence of luxury motoring, blending
style, performance, and refinement in a package that is as
captivating today as it was when it first hit the road. Please
