Vehicle Description
Zoom Classic Cars is proud to present this 1965 GMC Stepside
Pickup. The 1965 GMC Stepside truck is a classic American pickup
that exudes rugged charm, vintage appeal, and timeless style. Built
during an era when trucks were primarily designed for workhorse
duties, the Stepside variant of the GMC truck lineup offered a
distinctive and practical design that set it apart from its
competitors. This vehicle is powered by a 350-crate motor, with a
three-speed 400 turbo automatic transmission. The motor has 15000
miles on it since the build. The current owner purchased the
vehicle 2.5 years ago, after the build. The vehicle has headers
with a Flowmaster muffler and three-inch exhaust going out back.
There is a 21-gallon gas tank mounted underneath the custom wood
bed. The truck has a new Painless wiring harness with new wires
bumper to bumper. The vehicle has a new TCI Outlaw Shifter mounted
on a pedestal. The vehicle stops with the disc brakes in front and
drum brakes in the rear with 2.5-inch drop spindles and lowering
kit on the back end. The orange exterior includes custom black
accents and lettering in the bed of the truck. The simple and
unadorned styling of the '65 GMC Stepside truck is complemented by
practical details such as a durable bed floor, sturdy bumpers, and
a functional cabin layout that prioritizes functionality and ease
of use. The iconic GMC badge on the grille and classic round
headlights add to the truck's vintage appeal and unmistakable
identity. The truck is equipped with a black leather bench seat,
orange carpet and orange dash. The truck has a heater core, but no
switch inside to operate it. Gauges including, tachometer, oil
pressure, temperature, amperage and fuel gauge operate as they
should, just like the windshield wipers. The speedometer recently
began not operating properly, and whistling, so it has been
disconnected. The vehicle is also equipped with an AM/FM Stereo
w/CD Player, and aftermarket speakers. The power steering makes it
an easy driver. Overall, the 1965 GMC Stepside truck is a classic
icon of American automotive history, known for its durability,
practicality, and enduring appeal. Whether used as a work truck,
weekend cruiser, or restored showpiece, the Stepside variant
continues to hold a special place in the hearts of truck
enthusiasts and collectors who appreciate its timeless design and
rugged reliability. The truck is located in Rayne, Louisiana with a
clean title in the owner's name. Please contact Tom F. at
