This 1967 model spent its first life in the dry climate of Arizona
before being brought to Texas as a rust free body that the current
owner spent 8 years making into his dream machine.
His goal was a usable and reliable Pro-Street that could be taken
on long trips. Health has cut that dream a bit short but the owner
did take it on the Long Haul Hot Rod Power Tour.
The car was completed in 2017 the same year of the tour. Various
professional shops were utilized to complete the build on this rust
free body that had no previous accident damage. It is painted PPG
code 16429 Rich Blue Metallic that really pops in the sun. The
professionally applied paint has no hint of orange peel.
The bright work throughout has been reconditioned or replaced to
retain the original design elements, note the original side
moulding and Ranchero emblems including the Longhorn on the
tailgate.
The bed holds a fitted and usable tonneau cover.
American Racing wheels (17"-front, 18"-rear) carry Michelin
245/45ZR tires at 80% tread.
The fresh 5.0L HO crate motor (approx 2400 miles) starts and runs
strong. A FiTech fuel injection system sits on an Edelbrock
Performer intake, along with shorty headers and great sounding yet
quiet dual exhaust. The original shock towers have been replaced
with a smooth inner fender well that leaves a clean and roomy
engine compartment.
A 5 speed Ford T-5 manual transmission with a hydraulic clutch
shifts like butter.
A well balanced power brake system with disc up front and drum rear
does the stopping.
A GM late model Power Rack & Pinion puts the precision feeling into
the steering.
The ride is improved with front double a-arms and coilovers from
Rod & Custom front suspension.
The interior is re-upholstered in 100% leather and has no
blemishes. The split bench seat carries retractable seat belts. The
custom console provides cup holders and storage space. The dash is
detailed in Black and topped with a fresh dash pad. The original
gauges are in place and additional gauges exist on the custom pod
under the dash along with a column mounted tach.
The Classic Auto Air blows through the hard to find factory AC
vents.
An AM/FM and bluetooth now resides behind the factory looking AM
radio.
Here is a professionally done Pro-Street Ranchero driven 2,388
miles since completed. It will be hard to duplicate for $60k these
days.
Due to health reasons we are offering at a discounted price of
$34,500.00!
