This 1989 Chevy K5 Blazer Silverado is a super nice, really clean
K5 Blazer that spent its life in the State of Washington. This
Blazer has been well cared for and the last owner spent a lot of
money going through the mechanicals to make it a reliable vehicle
for them. This is not a frame off restored K5 Blazer, but is a
solid, clean, selectively restored that started out as a clean
original K5. The body on this rig is clean and straight. This
vehicle was originally GunMetal Gray with Black lowers from the
factory. It was professionally re-painted GunMetal Gray and the Top
was painted Black when restored. They did an excellent job on the
repaint. All of the chrome and trim is really nice and the
underside is extra clean. We found no rust issues with this
Blazer.
The interior is also in excellent shape. It has new carpet, new
dash cover, and the rear side panels were redone. The seats,
headliner, and dash bezel are original and still in great original
condition. The headlights, taillights, brake lights, and turn
signals are all working. The gauges all work. The horn and
windshield wipers work. The power windows and power locks work and
the tailgate power window works. This Blazer has tilt wheel and
working cruise control. The heat and AC are also working on this
truck. It is a really nice stock looking interior.
Mechanically this Blazer is top notch and it runs and drives
excellent! As previously stated the last owner spent a lot of money
on the mechanicals the last couple of years, but we did not get the
receipts. The engine is the 5.7L 350 V8 TBI that runs strong and
smooth with no issues or red flags that we found. This is a GM
Crate engine that was replaced around 10,000 miles ago according to
the last owner. Based on what we see and all of the new parts we
have no reason to doubt this (items like new frost plugs, new head
bolts, new oil pan, etc). It also has new belts and hoses, new
radiator, new starter, new alternator, and new distributor. The
transmission is the 700R4 Automatic that shifts nice and it is
mated to the np241 transfer case. The 4WD works like it should. It
has a 10 Bolt rear axle with 3.42 gears and a factory limited slip.
The front axle is also a 10 Bolt with 3.42 gears. The AC system was
completely overhauled with new AC Compressor, new accumulator tank,
new evaporator, new condenser, and new lines and hoses. The fan
motor was also replaced with new. Brakes were completely redone
with new wheel cylinders on rear along with drums and pads. Front
had new Calipers, rotors, hoses, and pads. It has an upgrade
Redhead steering Box with dual steering stabilizers and all new
shocks. This is all sitting on a nice set of factory rallye wheels
with 31 Inch All Terrain tires. This is a great looking K5
Blazer!!!
