1955 Chrysler Imperial Crown is a rare blend of vintage charm and
modern reliability. Extensive recent work has been done to ensure
it runs as beautifully as it looks. It now features a new fuel
tank, sending unit, and fuel lines, providing dependable fuel
delivery. The horn relay and battery have been replaced, and a
reproduction front emblem has been installed, along with rechromed
rear quarter panel trim and front parking light housings.
Mechanically, the starter and ignition coil have been rebuilt,
while the copper radiator has been upgraded with a brass top for
superior cooling. The water pump has been rebuilt, and the car is
fitted with new Coker wide whitewall tires, as well as all-new
hoses and belts. The power steering has been completely rebuilt,
along with the entire braking system, which includes a new master
cylinder, pumps, and wheel cylinders. Adding a touch of luxury, the
crown emblems on both the hood and trunk have been adorned with
24-carat gold plating. The interior has been redone using
factory-correct cloth from SMS, while the speedometer and all power
window switches have been rebuilt. A new brake light switch has
been installed, and the interior of the trunk has been fully
refinished.
