Up for sale is my frame off restored pristine collectable 1979 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser. US spec manufactured May 1979 with the original inline six cylinder 2F engine, four-speed transmission, factory power steering, factory tinted windows, and factory A/C upgraded to R134A. Engine upgraded with a Downey/Holley 350 carburetor conversion, headers, and a 1975 distributor w/vacuum advance. The rear leaf springs were replaced with new Old Man Emu 2.5" lift springs, thus removing the typical rear-end sag. New Bilstein 5125 front & rear shocks installed. Engine expertly maintained, idles and runs great. During the frame off body restoration, all body components and miscellaneous parts were tank dipped and epoxy primed inside and out. The tub was removed from the frame and sandblasted before refinishing. 3M undercoating was applied on the tub before it was put back on the frame. Frame and running gear were also sandblasted and painted. Complete new interior. Includes original tool and tire jack set. Wheels are new factory Toyota steel 15x5.5 with new Falken WildPeak M/T 30x9.50R15LT including spare. During the restoration process, all bolts, nuts, screws, and pins were replaced with stainless steel. The hinge bushings have been replaced with brass bushings. Everything has been refinished, painted, replaced or repaired and quality checked during the restoration. Cool Cruisers of Texas Center Console with cup holders were added, later upgraded with wireless phone charger & tray. A RetroSound AM/FM + Aux 1 & 2 inputs was installed, as well as custom-fit front and rear speakers which did not cut or modify interior parts. Maybe needless to say, non-smoker vehicle, only driven on dry, sunny days. Restoration confirmed with binder of photos and receipts. Too much to list. Call or text Steve at 509-981-0011 for more info. Own this timeless classic for only $54,000. Of course I’ll consider offers. If you fly into Spokane, I'm happy to pick you up at the airport, let you check out the F40, and return you to the airport. Due to Winter setting in, I'm not in a hurry to sell, and in fact, may pause the listing and relist in the Spring. Test driving in inclimate weather (including rain) isn't going to happen without a serious commitment.
