From 1950 through 1975 in the US and Canada until 1981 Chevrolet
designed and produced the Bel-Air and would go on to become the
premier level of trim applied to a number of body styles. Most
notably the second generation of the Bel Air would go on and become
the most iconic and the most sought after to this day,GM's
advertising campaign even labeling it the "Hot One". For 1957
displacement grew to 283 Cubic Inches and 283 HP matching the power
of the Corvette. This particular absolute stunning example is
finished in the factory colors of Surf Green over Highland Green
and has had one restoration. The mileage is believed to be accurate
based on ownership history but not verified. Pretty much everything
has been touched on this car in the last five years. The body,
paint, interior, seals, exhaust, brakes, fuel and a plethora of
other items was done by Broward Technical College in Florida from
2017 to 2019 and the paint is good, not perfect but very
presentable with some blemishes that are hard to pick up with the
camera. The current owner purchased the car in 2020 and went
through the entire mechanics of the car, the engine which is a
numbers matching example was rebuilt from top to bottom by CD's
engine in Hudsonville MI with receipts. The transmission was
replaced with a 700R4 that is a 4-speed with overdrive that can now
cruise comfortably at 1500 RPMS at 55 MPH. There is a lot more that
has been done with paperwork. We encourage any and all questions
and inspections if desired. This car starts perfectly, runs nice,
goes down the road strait with no known issues whatsoever.
Everything is in working order and would make a great addition to
anyones garage.
