For Sale: 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle in O'Fallon, Illinois

Vehicle Description

Introducing a masterpiece of automotive craftsmanship, this 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle Restomod is a stunning blend of classic design and modern performance. Built by TSG with great attention to detail, this Chevelle has been transformed from its original state into a contemporary powerhouse, ready to turn heads and deliver an exhilarating driving experience. The journey of this Chevelle began with a vision to restore its classic charm while infusing it with cutting-edge technology. Originally equipped with a Small Block 350 Motor and 350 Turbo Transmission, the transformation started with the installation of a Custom Built Roadster Shop SPEC Chassis, designed and fabricated in Chicago, Illinois. This robust foundation supports a Crate LS3 motor, complemented by a cold air intake and a Level 5 built 4L65E Transmission, ensuring a seamless blend of power and reliability. The chassis is equipped with Fox Single Adjustable coilovers both front and rear, featuring an independent front suspension and a parallel 4-bar rear suspension setup. The rear end boasts a Ford 9" housing with 31 spline axles and a 3.73 gear ratio paired with a Tru-trac carrier, providing exceptional handling and performance. To ensure optimal stopping power, Baer Pro+ brakes with 14" drilled and slotted rotors and 6-piston calipers are installed at the front, while the rear features 13" rotors with 4-piston calipers. The bodywork, handled by Sullivan's Garage, involved replacing key components such as the front fenders, hood, rear quarter panels, trunk lid, rocker panel, and roof. The chassis underwent sandblasting and powder coating to ensure durability and a pristine finish. MCR Tuning performed the initial setup and dyno tuning, resulting in a robust output of just under 400 horsepower to the wheels, with potential for further enhancements.Inside, the Chevelle boasts a luxurious black leather interior with gray stitching, crafted by TMI. The transformation includes front bucket seats with a custom center console and rear bucket-style seats, all designed to reflect the iconic SS style with a modern twist. The interior is further enhanced with a custom leather headliner, leather-wrapped A-pillar moldings, and a Sparco Street Series Steering wheel. A premium sound system featuring JL Audio components ensures an immersive audio experience, while a Vintage Air A/C System provides comfort on every journey.Externally, the Chevelle retains its classic chrome accents, with SS style black striping adding a touch of nostalgia. The vehicle is equipped with two-piece VX3C Forgeline Wheels, featuring a gunmetal gray face and chrome barrel, wrapped in Nitto NTS55G2 Tires for superior grip and performance. The custom-built dual exhaust system, featuring Borla and Magnaflow components, delivers an aggressive yet refined sound.Every detail of this Chevelle has been uniquely crafted, from the new bumpers and lighting to the comprehensive wiring and switch replacements. The project, which began on August 31, 2021, culminated in a final buff, polish, and ceramic coating by Ceramic Pro of BG, ensuring the paint remains protected and pristine. This 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle Restomod is not just a car; it is a testament to the art of automotive restoration and modernization, offering a unique blend of classic aesthetics and contemporary performance.Sale held pursuant to permit No. 19289 of department of licenses granted the 14th day of August 2015.
