Vehicle Description
1966 Ford Mustang coupe. I recently bought this as a long-term
personal project. It's a beautiful car, and I've loved the 1964-66
Mustang since I was a kid. However, I've realized that I'm in over
my head -- I do not have the knowledge to make much progress. I
don't have a background with cars, but I imagine it is useful for
someone that does. The previous owner had it since roughly 1992,
and it was most recently registered in AL in 2006. It's in mostly
the same condition as when I bought it. I have vacuumed and cleaned
the interior, and removed some grime from the exterior (water and
washcloth only). The gas tank needs immediate repairs. The top was
so corroded that holes had formed, and gas leaked into the trunk
during transport. I drained the gas tank and removed the trunk
carpet, but I have not attempted to remove or repair the gas tank.
