Melanson Motors is proud to offer this frame off restored, 1970 Chevelle SS. This Chevelle is the recipient of a 3 year, nut and bolt restoration with only 4000 miles on the build. This is a serious street machine build! It is powered by a 620+ horsepower GM Performance ZZ 572 cubic inch crate engine. A complete March serpentine pulley setup is installed with a polished aluminum alternator, water pump and power steering pump. A 4 core aluminum radiator with dual electric fans cools the engine. Custom ceramic coated headers flow into a beautiful mandrel bent stainless steel dual exhaust with Magnaflow mufflers and Magnaflow exhaust tips. Power is sent through a 700R4 automatic transmission with TCI breakaway torque converter and TCI Outlaw shifter built by Hutch's Racing Transmissions. A B&K transmission pan and transmission cooler are installed. The rear end is a Currie Enterprises Ford 9 inch with 3.73 gears. Countless dollars were spent on this monster driveline. The body is laser straight and the gaps are excellent. The paint is Daytona Yellow PPG base/clear and is excellent with very few flaws. The black stripes are cleared over and the edges are smooth like glass. Both bumpers have been re-chromed and the stainless trim is polished to perfection. Even the frame was media blasted and powder coated during restoration. All the glass is very good. The black custom leather interior presents like new and everything functions as it should. The interior features custom upholstered seats with yellow striping. The front seats are Corvette C6 buckets. Custom handmade door panels have been fitted to the doors. An original style 3-spoke steering wheel sits in front of an original style dash with super sport gauges. The radio is a modern pioneer AM/FM deck and the speakers have been upgraded. A Memphis Audio subwoofer is neatly installed in the trunk. Underneath, the floors and frame are spotless and are just as clean as the top side! The fuel lines are new stainless 8AN. The car rides on CPP tubular control arms and 4 wheel SSBC power disc brakes are installed. This Chevelle handles like it's on rails and stops on a dime! The car rides on brand new 15" Magnum 500 wheels and BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires. An absolutely stunning Chevelle SS that is a weapon on the street! A perfect addition to any collection or garage.
