This 1961 Chevrolet Corvette is finished in blue and silver over
gray leather and powered by a 350ci V8 paired with a three-speed
automatic transmission. Equipment includes 17in American Racing
wheels, power steering and brakes, a dual exhaust system, a tilt
steering column, lap belts, and a Pioneer stereo. The car was
refurbished before it was acquired by the prior owner in February
2022. Work completed in preparation for the sale includes replacing
the wheel cylinders, transmission pan gasket, engine oil pan
gasket, and valve cover gaskets along with changing the oil. This
C1 is now offered with a clear title.
The fiberglass body was repainted in blue with silver coves as part
of a refurbishment completed under prior ownership. Chrome trim
lines the grille, split bumpers, light surrounds, and driver-side
mirror, and additional equipment includes quad headlights, faux
fender vents, and a dual exhaust system.
American Racing 17in wheels are finished in gray and wear Westlake
SA-07 tires measuring 215/45 up front and 245/45 out back. The car
is equipped with power steering and power-assisted front disc
brakes with rear drums. The front and rear wheel cylinders were
replaced in preparation for sale.
The bucket seats, dashboard, and door panels were retrimmed in gray
leather as part of the refurbishment under prior ownership.
Equipment consists of manually-operated windows, a Lokar shifter, a
dash-mounted rearview mirror, air conditioning, lap belts, a
passenger grab handle, and a Pioneer stereo.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel is mounted to a tilt steering
column and fronts a 160-mph speedometer, 7k-rpm tachometer, and
auxiliary gauges displaying fuel level, coolant temperature,
battery status, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 15k
miles, and total mileage is unknown.
The 350ci Chevrolet V8 is equipped with a four-barrel carburetor,
an aluminum intake manifold, finned aluminum valve covers, ceramic
coated headers, and polished accessories. Work completed in
preparation for the sale consisted of replacing the engine oil pan
gasket and the valve cover gaskets along with changing the oil and
filter.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic
transmission. The transmission pan gasket and filter were changed
in preparation for the sale.
