Hurst/Olds would be a great addition to any collection or car show.
It is an excellent driver too! Rev Up Motors owns this Hurst/Olds,
unlike many of the "Dealers" out there. We invest our own money in
quality vehicles. Unlike the BIG consignment "Dealers" out there
that take everything and anything just to pay for their overhead
and "Sales Staff". They charge the customer a fee to "Market" the
vehicle. The consignment "Dealers" do not anything mechanically to
the consignors vehicle. All of the vehicles at Rev Up Motors have
been inspected for safety and for their mechanical operation. This
is all done by a Licensed ASE Certified Master Technician. The
Cameo White Exterior (Code 11) paint is very nice as you can see in
the pictures and video. It is very smooth and swirl free. The gaps
from panel to panel are exceptional. The 1972 Hurst/Olds Hardtop
cars had an exclusive vinyl top only available on the Hurst/Olds.
The material used was an Antique White with Gold Specks. The engine
bay is very stock in appearance and clean. This Hurst/Olds runs and
drives out very nice as well. It starts, idles, drives and stops
very nice. The undercarriage and sheet metal on this Hurst/Olds are
rock solid too. The Interior is in awesome condition as you can see
in the pictures and video. It is Black Vinyl (Code 970). 1972
HURST/OLDS INDIANAPOLIS 500 PACE CARS The 1972 Hurst/Olds was
actually developed by Hurst Performance, and not Oldsmobile. Due to
a tragic accident involving the 1971 Indy Pace Car, a Dodge
Challenger, the major auto manufactures were reluctant to provide a
Pace Car for the 1972 Indy 500 race. Hurst Performance stepped up
and volunteered to sponsor the 1972 Pace Car duties. Oldsmobile
provided the Cutlass Supreme Coupe and Convertible. It was the only
time an Indy Pace Car was sponsored by a manufacture other than an
automotive manufacture, and the first time to include a major
supplier's name in the title. The 1972 edition of the Hurst/Olds
had some of the lowest production numbers of any produced with a
total of 633 produced; 130 Convertibles, 279 Hardtops, 220 Hardtops
with Power Sunroofs, and 4 Station Wagons for Press and Ambulance
use. The only color available was Cameo White with reflective 3M
Gold Stripes that were stickers, not paint. All of the cars had the
W25 Ram Air Hood and Gold SS II Rally Wheels with a Chrome bolt-on
center cap and Chrome beauty ring. The standard Hurst/Olds engine
was the powerful L75 455 cubic-inch Rocket V8 rated at 270 net
horsepower. Optional at extra cost was the W30 option with the L77
455 cubic-inch Rocket V8 rated at 300 net horsepower. Both engines
were mated to a 3 Speed Turbo Hydra-matic 400 transmission with a
console-mounted Hurst Dual-Gate Shifter. All of the 1972 Hurst/Olds
had the Black Strato Bucket Interior with a center console. Special
Hurst/Olds Pace Car badging adjourned the glove box door. In
addition, all 1972 Hurst/Olds were identified with a W45 Code on
the Cowl Tag. Also the 1972 Hurst/Olds Hardtop cars had a special
half vinyl top. The material used is an Antique White with Gold
specks. This material is very hard to find. Most "restored"
Hurst/Olds use an incorrect White material. Call NOW to put this
