The Chevrolet Corvair is truly an underappreciated classic that has
just recently started to gain some traction in the collector car
market. The base Corvair was a fun sports car, and the Monza Spyder
was even more so. If you ever had the opportunity to get behind the
wheel of the very rare, Monza Spyder, you knew you were driving
something truly special. That is exactly what we have here in this
exceptional 1962 Chevrolet Corvair Monza 900 Spyder with 41,000
actual and documented miles. With its sharp body lines, 4-wheel
independent suspension, Posi-traction differential, manual gearbox
and sporty turbocharged drivetrain, this Corvair has all of the
makings of a proper sports car. On top of that, this Corvair Spyder
benefits from a very recent, no expense spared rotisserie
restoration that was just completed April 2023. As you would
expect, this Corvair presents in overall excellent condition
finished in its Ermine White exterior paint. The Corvair's Ermine
White exterior is nicely complimented by its correct chrome and
stainless trim, correct "Spyder" fender badges, correct "Turbo"
trunk emblem, polished turbo exhaust tip and factory steel wheels
fitted with wire hubcaps wrapped in Maxxis radial tires. All of the
paint and bodywork was professionally completed during the
restoration by Dave's Paint and Hot Rod Repair shop in Elkhart, IN.
The Corvair Spyder's White vinyl power convertible top is in
excellent condition. The Corvair's Red vinyl interior was
completely restored during the restoration in presents in excellent
condition throughout. The Corvair's interior features a custom
center console, factory correct Spyder gauge cluster, correct
"Monza Spyder" dash emblem, correct "Turbo" horn button and a
Retrosound AM/FM radio. Powering this extensively restored Corvair
Monza Spyder is its correct turbocharged 145 cubic inch 6-cylinder
boxer engine backed by its 4-speed manual transmission. Both the
engine and transmission were rebuilt during the restoration and the
engine received a few upgrades including forged pistons, moly
piston rings, and custom ground turbo camshaft. Both the engine and
transmission perform just as they should and deliver a very sporty
driving experience. Power is transferred to the rear tires via the
Corvair's factory Posi-traction rear differential. The interior and
mechanical work performed during the restoration was completed
professionally by Paul Fox Corvair Shop in Indianapolis, IN. This
beautiful Corvair Monza Spyder is very well equipped with options
such as: Posi-traction differential, factory appearance short throw
shifter, power convertible top, Retrosound AM/FM radio,
heater/defrost, in-dash tachometer, power top, and variable speed
wipers. This Corvair Spyder is very well documented by receipts and
