Vehicle Description
Cruisin Classics is pleased to offer for your consideration a 1972
Chevelle repainted in original Mulsanne blue (Paint code 26) over a
white bucket seat interior with a center console. This Chevelle was
originally equipped with a 402ci engine, we know this because the
5th digit of the Vin is a "U". At some point this Chevelle received
an upgrade to a 1973 454ci engine. The transmission is a GM Turbo
400 with a GM 12 bolt open rear end with a 308 gear. This
combination makes for a very nice driving, freeway-friendly
experience. It is equipped with power brakes, Disk on the front and
drums on the rear as well as power steering. Add the fact that it
also has cold A/C makes this Chevelle a great choice for the
individual that wants a classic that they can actually drive across
town or even to another town in comfort. Although it's an older
repaint that is not show quality, it still shows very well with
some small imperfections, we would call it a nice driver-quality
paint. While it may not be perfect it's a very sharp car that is
going to get lots of attention at your local car show and lots of
thumps up when you're cruising down the road. This is a very solid
car that retains its original floor pans, trunk pan, and quarters,
this would indicate that this car has never had any serious rust
issues. There is no way for us or anybody else to know for sure if
this is a true "SS" Chevelle, it would take documentation such as a
build sheet or original bill of sale or a "W" as the 5th digit of
the VIN indicating the 454ci engine option. We will note that this
Chevelle seems to have a lot of the things that a true "SS" would
have, such as an "SS" dash with correct round gauges, correct
badging and rear bumper, boxed trailing arms, and sway bar. Again
we are not saying that is a real "SS" but it certainly could be.
What we are certain of is wherever this Mulsanne blue Chevelle with
white "SS" stripes, classic chrome Cragar SS rims wrapped with
Mickey Thompson tires, and functioning cowl induction hood arrives,
it is definitely going to be the center of attention! Please feel
free to call one of our friendly team members with any questions
you may have about this Chevelle, but don't wait long or you might
miss out!
As always, thank you from all of us here at Cruisin Classics.
