Mid year Corvette restomods are red hot and this stunning 1963
Chevrolet Corvette Convertible is no exception. From the unique
styling and color to the extensive list of chassis upgrades, this
Corvette is sure to please both on the road and at the shows. Under
the hood lies an all aluminum 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine, paired with
a five-speed Tremec TKO600 manual transmission that delivers the
power and reliability GM engineers could have only dreamed of in
the '60s.
The body has been widened to accommodate some seriously wide tires
and refinished in a captivating Silver Blue Metallic, complemented
by a dark blue soft top that fits snugly when the weather calls for
it. The car is given a one of a kind look courtesy of a front
bumper deletion and the addition of a muscular big block style
hood. Iconic features like pop-up headlights, LeMans inspired fuel
filler door, and a split rear bumper maintain the classic Corvette
charm.
Sitting on split-spoke 18? front and 19? rear Budnik forged wheels,
wrapped in massively wide Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires (275/35
in front and 325/30 in rear), this Corvette not only nails the
stance -it's engineered for performance. A premium Coffman C2 full
custom chassis, combined with modern C6 Corvette suspension
components and Viking coilovers, hug the car to the road, while Z06
brake calipers provide stellar stopping power.
The LS3 under the hood boasts an array of impressive modifications,
including a stage 3 Brian Tooley cam, a Velocity sheet metal
intake, and a Be Cool radiator equipped with dual electric fans to
keep temperatures in check. The signature Thunder Chamber side
pipes not only give iconic side pipe sound but also killer
looks.
Inside, the cabin retains classic Corvette style while upping the
luxury with twin low-back bucket seats custom upholstered in dark
blue leather. The dashboard, door panels, and carpeting all matched
in this rich hue, featuring aluminum trim and updated gauges.
Modern conveniences include a Vintage Air climate control system,
USB-equipped factory-style Corvette radio, and blue lap belts.
This C2 Corvette was professionally built by Corvette Care in Ohio,
and the care and craftmanship in the build is evident throughout.
