its bright red paint, black bucket seat interior, 454 cubic inch

1973€s started Corvette's transformation from muscle to touring
sports car. A Chevrolet advertisement headlined: 'We gave it
radials, a quieter ride, guard beams and a nose job.' Features 1973

offered, producing an engine output of 270 horsepower and looks as
stock as it did when it was new with the factory cowl induction
black factory air cleaner, orange painted block, heads, valve
covers, and intake, 4-barrel carb, tube headers, factory hoses,
power steering, chrome distributor shielding, and sitting in a
stock looking engine compartment. All the gases go out the rear via
a dual exhaust system, it is backed by a 3-speed automatic
transmission, and the Corvette rides on correct factory Rallye
wheels with BF Goodrich Radial TA raised white letter tires.
Interior It has a black twin bucket seat interior, the correct
factory appointments like gauges, seat belts, center console,
chrome shifter, Corvette AM/FM stereo radio system, factory dash,
map holder, matching door panels, and black carpeting and floor
mats. Exterior The 1973 Chevrolet Corvette was the first 'Rubber
Bumper' Vette. The front chrome bumper was replaced with a
federally mandated 5 MPH bumper that changed its looks
significantly. This is the only year that a rubber front bumper and
chrome rear bumper were used at the same time. A new side brace was
added as well to increase safety. This was also the last year for
the small integrated spoiler at the back of the car. As stated
earlier, the bright red paint makes this Corvette an attention
getter. The 1973 hood features cold air induction and removes the
automatic panel that hid the windshield wipers. A vent in the hood
by the windshield wipers provided cold outside air for the engine
also. The new ducts on the sides behind the front wheels were
non-trimmed and consist of just one large vent with body styling.
It has T-tops, great chrome and trim, large rectangular exhaust
tips, and has a great presentation. Conclusion The 1973 Chevrolet
Corvette we have at Skyway Classics will be an attention getter
wherever you drive it to and will have the additional power with
the 454 engine, and great handling to challenge you as a driver to
drive it as it should be driven. So give us a call at 941-254-6608.
