Vehicle Description
Offered by the original owner, this 1977 Chrysler LeBaron is
powered by a 5.2-liter Dodge Magnum engine with Comp Cams Xtreme
Energy roller cam, ported heads and 4-tube long-tube headers with
expansion chambers. Power is backed by the 3-speed automatic
transmission modified to handle the extra torque of the Magnum
engine and provide very firm shifts. The rear differential is an
8.25-inch unit with a 2.94 axle ratio and Sure-Grip limited-slip.
The front suspension is Chrysler's transverse torsion bar design.
The rear suspension is held in check by a heavy-duty sway bar. The
front and rear brakes are near new. The tires are Michelin X One
225/70 radials. The exterior is refinished in the original Black
Sunfire Metallic with a high-gloss clearcoat and a new landau roof
with opera lights. The interior is completely original, featuring
very comfortable 60/40 reclining seats with center armrests covered
in black crushed velour cloth and extra plush carpet. Some options
include factory aluminum alloy wheels, Alpine AM/FM/CD stereo, air
conditioning, heated rear window, tilt wheel, power windows and
door locks, remote trunk release and cruise control. The sale
includes two factory service manuals, some factory promotional
literature and the original sales invoice. The seller states the
car has a bit of a rumble at idle but is quiet at cruise speeds,
there is a small rear main oil seal leak, the air conditioning does
not hold a long-term charge and the fuel gauge needs adjustment.
