Vehicle Description
"Enthusiasts far and wide know the legend of the W123 Mercedes-Benz
chassis. The timeless design, venerable engine, classy interior,
and overall stylish appearance make this one of, if not the most
sought-after German classics."-outmotorsports.com
This 1982 Mercedes Benz 300D shows 146,458 miles on the 3.0 Liter
inline-5-cylinder turbodiesel motor. The power from the motor is
transferred to a 4-speed automatic transmission.
This Mercedes is finished in Silver Blue metallic paint with a
coordinating Pacific Blue leather upholstery. The interior boasts
such features as Zebrano wood trim, a Becker AM/FM cassette and an
electric sunroof. The dash does have some cracks which
unfortunately are remarkably familiar with a classic Benz. A worn
spot is also present on the driver's seat bolster.
The turbodiesel motors are known for their "never give up" mantra
and this example is no exception providing a pleasurable and
reliable driving experience as would be expected in a classic
Mercedes. The nostalgic Bundt wheels are wrapped in Michelin
Defender tires.
This 300D underwent a complete bare metal re-spray in 2020 as well
as extensive brake, suspension, and steering repairs and
replacement (can be seen in attached receipts). The underside,
which can be verified by the photographs and video, is also in
exceptionally good condition with no known areas of corrosion.
