purchased from a large collection out of the Florida the sunshine
state. This is a 4-speed 442 convertible that is authenticated by
its 344 vin number, a 4 barrel carburetor, correct G code 1968 400
cubic inch V8 engine with 350 h.p. and dual exhaust. This is an
investment grade muscle car that benefited from an extensive
restoration and was stored in a climate controlled environment with
next to no miles since competed.
The 442 is color correct, Y-code, Saffron Yellow and was
professionally painted over a structurally beautiful metal body
with excellent lines and panel fitment with lots of newer chrome
and stainless. This Olds 442 convertible means business with its
442 hood, 442 emblems, 442 fender stripes and dual exhaust cut outs
in the rear bumper.
Under the hood is a show quality engine compartment, showcasing a
400 cubic inch V8 engine mated to a Muncie 4-speed transmission on
the floor to control the power. Nicely equipped with power steering
and power brakes. The code correct 950 black interior, is like new
with newer seat covers door panels and carpet and features a
simulated wood steering wheel, 442 Hurst chrome 4 speed shifter,
exceptionally nice dash and crisp clear instrumentation and new
chrome sill plates. The newer restored, power convertible top shows
like new, has a high gloss black painted frame, new rubbers and has
a glass back window.
This American Dream Machine convertible is rolling on painted to
match rally wheels with brand new BF Goodrich Radial T/A white
letter radials for that investment grade muscle car look.
