This 1981 Camaro Z28 was purchased by Dan and Sara Willis of Blackwell, Oklahoma on June 17th of 1981 for their 17 year old son who was on his way to college. After deciding the car was too nice to leave in the college parking lot, the Camaro made its way back home and was driving sparingly until it was purchased by it’s 2nd and last owner a Mr. David Zimmerman with 9,800 miles. Mr. Zimmerman also drove the car sparingly with the 1983 inspection slip showing just 10,595 miles and the 1985 slip showing 11,272 miles. Mr. Zimmerman reported that he didn’t like the attention the car received around town and when he lost his job in 1985, he never registered the car again and kept it stored in his garage. The Camaro has never been painted, or restored and remains in excellent condition to this day. All the paint on the car meters between 2.5 and 3 mils. All the parts are original with the exception of the catalytic converter which was replaced under warranty, and the tires and mufflers which were replaced in the Summer of 2023. Thanks to the two protective owners, the car has less than 11,800 original miles and still drives like new. The car comes with all records since new and 3 builds sheets.
