This 1964 1/2 Ford Mustang (titled as a 65) is a really nice,
clean, D Code coupe that is a very original and low mileage car.
The D Code specifies that this car came with a 289 V8 from the
factory. This is an original, low mileage car that has an older
repaint that still looks excellent, was always stored indoors, and
it is a solid car. This car we would consider a great looking and
really nice driver for someone as the car runs and drives down the
road great!! The body on this car is clean and straight. As
previously stated, the car has an older repaint in its original
color of Wimbledon White. The paint looks really nice and is in
great condition. All of the chrome and stainless on the car is
excellent. This is a super solid car with nearly all of its
original sheet metal except for the drivers side rear quarter which
was replaced. The original floor and subframe are both in excellent
condition. The last owner recently put all new window seals and
weatherstripping on the car as well.
The interior is also really nice and nearly all original. The
interior is very well preserved. The seats, carpet, door panels,
dash, and dash bezel are all original and still in great condition.
It did receive a new headliner recently so that is also in
excellent shape. The headlights, taillights, brakelights, and turn
signals are all working. The heat, and windshield wipers are also
working. The horn is not working. This is a really nice original
interior.
Mechanically this car is excellent and it runs and drives great!!
The engine is believed to be original 289 V8 that runs strong with
no issues or red flags that we found. It is really peppy! The last
owner of this car had the engine rebuilt less than 10,000 miles
ago. We did not receive the receipts unfortunately. It is pretty
clear this has been done based on what we see and how it runs. It
has an Edelbrock aluminum 4V intake and a factory Ford 4 Barrel
Carb. It also has Shelby Tri-Y headers with dual exhaust that
sounds great. It received a new fuel pump, new starter, new
alternator, new water pump, and new belts and hoses. The car also
has newer shocks, brakes, master cylinder and brake hoses (the
whole brake system looks new). The transmission is the C4 Automatic
that shifts nice and it was also rebuilt when the engine was.
Everything looks new.. It has the Ford 8 Inch rear end with 3.00
gears. This is all sitting on a nice set of original steel styled
factory rims with new tires. This would make a great local show car
or weekend cruiser.
We drive what we sell so that we can give you a first hand and
accurate report on how the vehicle runs and drives. Our pictures
are never touched up or photoshopped. What you see is an accurate
representation of the vehicle. We take consistent pictures and show
you everything so you can get a true representation of the
vehicle.
